The title of presentation: European experience on how to prepare and select cost-efficient and affordable water solutions – applying Life Cycle costing on project preparation
As an ambassador of the value of WATER and related services Mr. Károly Kovacs is linked to several environmental technology development and patent. As a CEO, and project manager, he participated in the construction of overa 150 municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants, thousands of kilometers of public sewer, in the design, modernization, construction, operation, evaluation and assessment of several water systems. He furthermore partook in the development, production and sales of water, sewerage and drainage products, both on the domestic as well as on international markets. Mr. Kovacs played a key role in the design and development of the methodology and guide, for Central and Eastern Europe, known as the Dynamic Cost Comparison Calculation (DCCC), for selecting least-cost projects in Water Supply and Wastewater Disposal. His knowledge and expertise were also essential in the development of the Multipurpose Infrastructure Assessment Database (MIAD) software.
